This site represents a personal exploration and practise in gum bichromate photographic printing over the last few years. This photography was introduced in 1894 and widely used by the pictorialists of the time. Gum prints can be made in any color using water soluable pigments.Gum bichromate printing uses gum arabic for a colloid base component and ammonium dichromate for a sensitizer.This technique is one of several old alternative photography techniques that have recently begun to become more popular.
